We will be exploring the wonders of the Polyvagal theory as it applies to the Rest and Restore protocol with Ana do Valle, the founder of the Mosaic of Healing, and our guest speaker and new staff member of Soma Healing Center, Dr. Joseph Dillard. Bring your cup of tea or chai.

Ana do Valle. Ana is a licensed and registered mental health occupational therapist who has been working and practicing in the field of trauma and self-coregulation for the past 38 years. She has been teaching the SEGAN model since 2017 in the US, Norway, and Israel.
She has been a featured guest speaker at the Pre-Conference at the International Trauma Conference sponsored by Bessel Van der kolk in Boston in 2019. She also has also presented the SEGAN model at the International Safe and Sound Protocol gathering in Atlantic Beach, Florida in 2019.
In addition, Ana is an approved Somatic Experiencing Practitioner Consultant for all levels of students undergoing the three-year graduate SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner) training. She is a Member of the Clinical Advisory Team (CAT) for Unyte, providing quarterly webinars to all practitioners utilizing the Focus System and the SSP, also supporting general program development.
Ana is a graduate of the 3-Year Program offered through the Anthroposophic Psychology training in 2016 and is certified in Sensory Integration. For the past three decades Ana has been working with the First Nation in the US, Alaska, and Brazil on the subject of early childhood education, trauma prevention, and healing. This collaboration is on addressing emotional and behavioral dysregulation, addictions, wounds of attachment, and trauma fragmentation. She holds a private practice, Soma Healing Center in Boulder CO, running an anthroposophical inspired trauma recovery clinic applying Somatic Experiencing, Brain Spotting and Sensory Integration techniques. Ana works with children, adults, couples and families implementing the SEGAN model with the Safe and Sound Protocol.
Dr. Joseph Dillard. Joseph Dillard is a psychotherapist, author, and educator with over forty year’s clinical experience treating individual, couple, and family issues. Joseph also has extensive experience with pain management and meditation training.
The creator of Integral Deep Listening (IDL), he is the author of over twenty books on escaping life drama, waking up, dreaming, Dream Sociometry, nightmares, near death experiences, and meditation. Joseph received his Master’s in clinical social work from the University of Arkansas in 1979 and his PhD in Holistic Health Sciences/Health Education from Columbia Pacific University in 1981. He has received specialized training in psychodrama, Perl’s Gestalt therapy, hypnotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Joseph has directed two multi-disciplinary pain-management programs. In a broad-based private practice since 1985, Joseph has treated anxiety, depression, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder, couples and parent-child issues, and personal development issues. In addition to work as a psychotherapist and author, Joseph is a life coach and seminar leader, teaching Integral Deep Listening to students in Berlin and at the beautiful Toskana Therme in Bad Sulza, Thuringia, Germany, as well as via Skype and Zoom world-wide.
